Greetings from Estonia!

Right now i am making car license, so we can come to Sweden to viking festivals and markets.
Can you suggest the events please?
Our vacation starts at June and ends at the start of september.

Hi Timmo,
If you like viking events, you should try to go to the Foteviken market, scheduled for the last week of June. It's a big event in a nice place, it's cheap (free actually) and it's prepared for international participants. Then you will have a good opportunity to practice driving too, since you have to go all the way to the south of Sweden!

There are many other Viking events in and around Sweden (Borre in Norway should also be great!), and the Kuppjirk site lists most of them. Note that the current list for 2009 is far from complete yet! Many of the events from 2008 will probably be back, so you might take a look at the old programmes anyway.

Hope you'll find something you like!

I forgot to include the link to foteviken:

On "The Viking Reserve" page you'll find pictures from earlier markets!

Hi, Hej, Labas, Moi!
I would like to suggest "Sundsvalls Vikingfestival" 13th to 14th of june. It´s a great festival with aprox 120-180 participating vikings, which means between 30-40 marketstands. It has good reputaion and many of the participants are coming back year after year! We have had participants from Lituainia (Pajauta) and Poland in earlier festivals. www.gnejron.se
Best Regards BrandR
