Den med det smalare brättet är baserat på en norsk hatt (eller lökkupol? [;)] ). Den andra är nog mest baserat på "techniques of medieval armour reproduction"...

De enda två som jag på rak arm kan säga är "tidigare" är den norska och en som finns i estland. Båda har väl mest skärmar som en "bygghjälm". Senare har oftare mera skydd för huvudet runtomkring i form av bredare eller mer neddragna skärmar. Oftare - inte alltid... Har nån bild på en från bömen(?) som knappast har ett gigantiskt brätte...

Sen finns det ju många som inte är bevarade... Då återstår konsten... Och där dyker uppriktigt sagt lite av varje upp.... Eftersom jag mest varit intresserad av 1400-talet så har jag inte tittat på de tidigare (så mycket...).

Vill du ha en snygg 1400-talare utan att för den sakens skull behöva knacka en i ett stycke så försök få tag i en begagnad bascinet och bygg om till kittelhat... Såg en notis om att en sån hade hittats i en vallgrav eller nåt. Om det är sant eller inte vet jag inte eftersom jag inte har nån källa på det...

Spangenmodellen har jag sett med både smalare och bredare 'skärm'. Skall vara lite tråkig och ta de modellerna som finns på dräktsidan som exempel igen (men de passade faktiskt in just här heh).
Kom modellen med smalare skärm (och lite rundare kulle tror jag med) innan den med bredare?

Var i europa menar du? Tittar man på svenska och tyska illustrationer från 1400-talet verkar det inte drälla av 1300-tals kittelhattar direkt. De är av modellen som bidde populär i tyskland första halvan av 1400-talet...

Man kan summera det som att spangenmodellen mer eller mindre försvann och de smidda i ett stycke tog hela marknaden. I olika mer eller mindre fantasirika varianter varierande från fåniga till extremt vackra konstverk...

Obs... Det sistnämna ska vara en burgundisk eller i alla fall västeuropeisk... De första är kanske mer typiska för området från södra tyskland upp till sverige.

Allt ovanstående var givetvis grova generaliseringar ... [;)]

Edit: Den sista hjälmen torde vara ganska sen på 1400 talet... De andra två vet jag ej den riktiga dateringen på...

Undrar lite om hur utseendet på kittelhattarna varierade mellan början av 1300-talet och kanske en bit in på 1400-talet. Låt säga runt 1450...

Men men, tänkte om någon satt inne på någon länk eller kunskap om detta? Hade folk kanske kittelhattar av tidig 1300-talsmodell även senare?
