Tack det värmde gott i själen. Grimborg gav jag ut på CD,n ALDER 1997 tillsammans med sångerskan Violina Juliusdotter. Skivan pressades i 2000 exemplar som i stort sett såldes slut på tre år. Efter viss osämja mellan oss och skivbolaget Tongång så har mig veterligt inte ALDER givits ut i fler exemplar. Vi hade hämtat balladen ur "Svenska folkvisor" av Geijer & Afselius och spelade in balladen i sin helhet. Inspelningsprojektet var ganska vanskligt då hela låten (drygt 15 min) spelades på en gång med försångare, 7 omkvädare och tagelharpa (med tagelsträngar). Vi gjorde två tagningar. Ett ögonblicks koncentrationsglapp i slutet av andra tagningen medförde att Violina tvingades uppfinna en extra vers på stående fot (jag är fortfarande imponerad) därför är det 53 verser i våran variant av Grimborg.

På uppföljaren ANDOR (som fortfarande går att köpa) Spelade vi in två andra ballader av medeltida typ: Harpans kraft och Så rider jag mig över tolvmilan skog

Hej!
Vet du vart man kan hitta dessa Jag har letat men inte kunnat hitta texten till grimborgkvädet som jag lärde mig halvt om halvt i somras. Den är helt klart en favorit, men jag vill ju kunna sjunga mer än bara några lösryckta verser.

På tal om annat. Jag har en visbok ihopsatt av Evert Taube här, där han hävdar att vissa av visorna är medeltida. Vet någon något om "De två systrarna", som handlar om en taskig flicka som dränker sin syster för att få hennes fästman? Den är häftig, men det känns som att om den nu faktiskt är medeltida, borde nog en del text ha bytts ut. Tex. sägs det att flickorna är döttrar till en fiskare, och den druknade ägde en "sölkeklänning" (vilket jag har tolkat som sidenklänning) och det tycker jag inte låter vidare trovärdigt. Det vore erbarmligt roligt att hitta orginalorden... Språkhistoria!
