Sen knipsade jag av tandpetaren någon mm ovanför läderytan med en avbitare, la det hela på städet (jag har ett litet sött ministäd som är toppen till ställen som är svåra att komma åt, som i skor) och bankade lite lagom hårt ett par gånger med en hammare.

Jag testade lite på spillbitar med träpliggar (av tandpetare [:I] ) och när man bara knackat dit den första och kände på det så känndes det som att det lossnade hur lätt som helst, men när man slagit i tre-fyrastycken hyfstat nära varandra (kanske 2cm isär eller nåt)så satt det plötsligt riktigt bra. Pliggar man hela sular ganska tätt så är jag rätt säket på att skulle funka, har dock inte hunnit prova i större skala än. Säkert har träslaget i pliggarna också viss betydelse. Bok, tror jag det är är i tandpetarna men det fins kanske bättre?
Träet krossades mycket riktigt mot underlaget precis som en "vanlig" nit.

Ja, det är mycket troligt eftersom man använde läst när man tillverkade skor. Då har det blöta skinnet något att forma sig runt när det torkar och på så vis får man en sko som liknar de du köper på affären idag.

För annars är det inte mer mothåll än i en kanapé (festligt tilltugg servat medelst tandpetare).
Då kommer man inte alltför osökt in på material i pliggarna och vitsen att öht använda trä istället för spik.
Har man ett skomakarjärn (vilket kommer vara i min ägo tack vare Clas J) så borde det inte vara några som helst problem med att slå in dem om den nu kryper upp pga slitage.
Men hur HK sådan lösning skulle vara vet jag inte.
Jag vet att romerska sandaler hade grymma skonitar (vilka jag fö kommer försöka få tag i. Legio XX i Norge hörde jag visste vart man fann dem).
Men de, nitarna alltså, verkar inte ha haft en funktion som att spika fast sulor.

Fråga: är det någon som har erfarenhet av att sätta fast golfspikar i skorna för bättre fäste?
