Det blev inga skinn förra helgen utan det blir nu i helgen och iom minusgraderna som vi förärats med så kommer jag att hänga skinnen i mitt kallförråd så slipper jag föröska knö in dem i frysen. Hade det fortsatt vara över nollan hade jag saltat. Dock verkar saltningen ta längst tid? Eller missförstår jag dig nu Rabies?

De gör detta genom saltning, torkning eller genom att frysas. Fördelen med saltning är att saltet även drar ur vattnet medan frysning bara gör att micellerna spricker.

Salta tycker jag är den bästa metoden men ska de ligga länge kan det vara bra att salta om dem efter ca 6 månader.

Kommer förmodligen få tag på ett antal skinn av får nu till helgen och håller på att luska ut hur jag ska hantera dem.

Nu undrar jag om det inte finns bättre eller lämpligare metoder?
Skulle man kunna tänka sig att man lägger de i blöt i saltlake, eller tar ullen skada?
