Om din väns dräkt inte är historiskt korrekt så kan det väl duga. "på riktigt" skulle jag föredra en rund svärdsknapp utan facetter och en mycket mer avsmalnande klinga mot spetsen.
Tråkigt nog var svärden på medeltiden inte annat än redskap, oftast. Om man nu inte vill ha "kungasvärd" för ceremoni.
Om dräkten ser bra ut för det syftet den har för din vän utan att det behöver vara historiskt riktigt så..

Jag håller med, om Svarta katten har Paul Chens Practical Knightly så är det ett okej köp för pengarna. Jag har kollat lite extra på klingan och den är faktiskt riktigt fin för vad man ger för den. Kaveln kan dock behöva lite omtanke, den är rätt trist när den levereras (precis som Practical Viking).

Han tänker köpa ett svärd i den lägre prisklassen, och jag undrar vad för omdömme ni kan ge på det. Det är inte avsett för blankvapenstrid, utan för att det ska se bra ut till hans ringbrynja och vapenrock. Framförallt är det i en väldigt attraktiv prisklass, för dem som inte är så bemedlade eller insyltade på medeltid.
