Vikingafighting och medeltidsfighting skiljer inte så mycket, men det skulle vara kul att se VAD det är som skiljer. Dessutom är det ju roligt att träna lite formationstrid. Jag kan tänka mig att vi måste 'tvinga' vikingarna att slåss i sluten formering med.. eftersom en medeltida spjuthäck på bara tio man lätt blir utflankerad... den bör ju vara runt 500 man.. Sen kan vikingarna lära oss att bli bättre på rena mano-a-mano stird på ett säkert sätt. Jag tror att ett allmänt utbyte av erfarenheter från världens alla stidsfält bara kan göra oss gott!

Rent historiskt så stred vikingarna i formation. Det är bara dagens reenactare som har fått för sig att vikingarna slog i oordnade hopar. Historiskt sätt så har formationer varit överlägsna. Att slåss oordnat funkar bara när det finns regler som sätter pinnar i hjulet för realistiska attacker.
Jag har en vision om att återskapa strid med trävapen och plexiskydd för ansiktet. Ett försök att nå så mycket realism som går.

En reenactor träff som den du talar om låter mäkta roligt. Jag är på. Jag har ett 1350 kit som skulle passa. Svensk bondesoldat med kittelhatt o visbyharnesk. Jobbar med en tysk legoknekt också.

Starta en ny tråd där vi kan diskutera detta, så slipper vi kapa Martins.

Hmm... tanken dök just upp... kanske skall man ha en 'crossperiod battle' Kanske inte för publik, men för övning, för att träffa varandra och för att vi ibland är lite för få innom varje tidsera för att någon större formationsträning skall kunna fixas.

Jag säger inte att det skulle göras på detta event som ni talar om nu. Kanske i Stockholm.

Mkt bra idé. På ett historiskt event kan det ju lätt bli så att många håller sig borta för att det inte är "rätt tidsperiod". Bättre att samla alla till ett event som bara handlar om strid. För att öva och för att umgås.

För mig låter det som Swordfish [:D] Folk kommer för att slåss och umgås. Dessutom kommer det ju vara en workshop som handlar om just gruppstrid mm.

Fram med era svärd, yxor och sköldar och kom till Göttibörg! [8D]
