Man kan nog säga att jag ställer upp i de här tävlingarna av flera olika anledningar. En av de viktigaste för mig personligen är för att det är en skön gemenskap och riktigt trevliga killar och tjejer. Och som kampform är stickfajting också så grundläggande att det funkar som ett test på hur väl man kan anpassa sin stil. För mig personligen så visar det på att jag blir helt överkörd på korta avstånd. Det är något jag måste jobba på, för även en fäktare måste kunna brottas, sparka och slå. Och eftersom det är så hårt som det är, så är det också en obeveklig indikation på vad man har att förbättra.

Och pinnen är ju som sagts, ungefär så historisk som det går att få ett vapen.

Helt riktigt man vinner på poäng. Dock så är det endast hårda träffar som räknas. Så i en match på 4 min kanske det bara blir 2-5 poäng. Slag o sparkar mot kroppen räknas inte heller men de är med för att tillföra tävlingen mer realism. Kast ger endast poäng om de är rena o gör att man hamnar i ett fördelaktigt läge.

Skydden i den avancerade klassen är minimal, fäktmask o bandyhandske. I nybörjarklassen så kan man välja att ha mer skydd.
