När han belägrade en borg som tillhörde kungamodern hertiginnan Ingeborg.
Fram till slutet av 1300-talet så hade biskopen samma rätt som furstarna att utnämna skattefria väpnare, att adla.

Nog slogs de en hel del, sen läste jag någon artikel i armémuseums årsbok att det är mer eller mindre en myt att präster slogs med klubbor för "att inte utgjuta blod" så att säga.

Jag tänkte dock på ett svenskt exempel och har för mig att det var på Gotland, men är inte säker på detta... Vill minnas att det var kopplat till kyrkor som tillflyktsort för civil befolkning vid krig.

Jag tror att det nämns en präst eller biskop som iförd ringbryna gick till strid tillsammans med sin församling. Möjligen skedde detta på Gotland och är kopplat till just försvarskyrkor och kastaller. Någon som minns något liknande? Kanske har jag läst detta i en artikel i Fornvännen.
