Tänk bara på att det är skillnad mellan hård- och mjuklödning - åtskilliga arkeologer har <i>inte</i> förståt det, varför mycket strunt har sagts och skrivits om lödning genom åren [xx(] (t.ex. av Andreas Oldeberg).

Men jag kan ha fel. Det skulle kanske funka med en bit av ett bromsrör i koppar. Med ett sådant går det att få ett mycket litet hål i arbetsänden. Värt att prova. Brickan han har är nog oundgäglig då arbetsstycket måste kunna lyftas upp till bekväm arbetshöjd. Men sådant är lätt att fixa. Svåraste problemet är vilken slags värmekälla som är den bästa. Finns det överhuvudtaget arkeologiska bevis för vad som kan ha använts?

Någon som provat lågtemp arbeten i tenn på det här sättet ? Lägg fö. märke till "brickan" han har arbetsstycket på under lödningen, fungerar bra i många fall även med gaslödning o gör att man kan komma åt sådär aningen bättre i vissa vinklar.

Har bara testat på provbit själv med mycket primitiva blåsrör men det gick, mer träning så.... Skulle nog säga att man har mer koll på små arbeten med blåsrör än med gasbrännaren

De hade ju liksom inte gas och sådant.
Så hur bar man sig åt? Och vad krävs i utrustningsväg?
Mig veterligen har jag aldrig sett någon arbeta med silversmide på gammalt sätt. Vikinga- och medeltida järnsmeder finns det ju relativt gott om, men silver- och guldsmederna lyser med sin frånvaro.
